Physical inspection of the entire machine and accessories.
High-pressure leak test and inspection of the entire oxygen supply system, including yoke connections and quick connects.
Low-pressure machine leak test (critical for ensuring patient safety).
Pressure gauge accuracy test.
Flow meter output accuracy test.
O2 flush valve operational check and output measurement.
Inspection and testing of inspiratory and expiratory valves on the rebreathing circuit.
Testing of the pop-off and occlusion valves for proper function and safety.
Waste gas compliance inspection: testing of the scavenger system to ensure it conforms to ACVAA and OSHA standards for minimizing staff exposure.
Vaporizer performance test:
- Leak Test
- Bypass Test
- Accuracy Test: A verification of anesthetic agent output using a calibrated Riken gas analyzer. This process ensures that the concentration set on the vaporizer dial accurately matches the concentration delivered to the patient.
